Russian warplanes carried out air strikes in three Syrian provinces, including Homs, along with regime aircraft on September 30, according to a Syrian security source. Earlier in the day, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based monitor, reported at least 27 civilians had been killed in air strikes in the Homs province, adding that the strikes hit Rastan, Talbisseh and Zaafarani.     Σύμφωνα με όσα  καταγγέλλει το Παρατηρητήριο Ανθρωπίνων Δικαιωμάτων στην Συρία,τουλάχιστον 45 άτομα, μεταξύ των οποίων και ένας ανώτερος διοικητής των Σύρων ανταρτών, σκοτώθηκαν κατά τη διάρκεια χθεσινών ρωσικών αεροπορικών επιδρομών.

    Συγκεκριμένα, οι βομβαρδισμοί της Ρωσίας έλαβαν χώρα στην περιοχή της Λαττάκειας, η οποία ελέγχεται από Σύρους αντάρτες. Ο νεκρός διοικητής ήταν επικεφαλής ομάδας ανταρτών, υπό την επωνυμία «Ελεύθερος Συριακός Στρατός».
